radio work

The radio was discovered in 1894 but was more known by public in 1896.
The radio was invented by Gugliegmo Marconi an italian inventor. But later was proven that Nikola Tesla invented the fundamentals for the radio transmission before Marconi even thought of it.

The radio works like this "the sound waves of a program go into a microphone that has electrical current running through it. These sound waves create vibrations in the current as they travel through wires to a control room"
In more detail:
frequency is produced, microphone converts the sound wave into a electrical signal, the electrical wave traveling through the microphone is the original sound wave, the signal is transmitted by a radio broadcast tower, then the signal is received by another radios antenna  


The difference between am and fm radio am is amplitude modulation and fm is frequency modulation. Modulation is modifying the frequency depending on the information sent.
AM ranges from 535 to 1705kbz
FM goes from 88 to 108MBz
  

Anti-Drug Film- 10th December 2011

On Friday the 10th December we started recording our anti drug film. We started off by recording one of the class room. In this scene you see the teacher explaining to the class that tuition fees have gone up to £9000 per year. The main character comes in late to class. He finds out about the tuition fees, Him and another student discuss how they will get the money. Then the teacher dismisses the class.

For this scene I was the camera man and I intend to be the one of the camera men for the rest of the anti drug film. The camera is easy to use however I did have some problems one was the class room was not that big but the tripod was massive so it was very hard for me to move the tripod around, but I solved this problem by getting a member of the team to help me carry the tripod.

I think the footage we recorded is very good, however I am a bit disappointed with the main character because he could not keep his face straight in a serious scene he was holding his laughter in and you could see that, so maybe we will record this scene again.

interactive media

Interactive media is when your actions make a sound happen. For example on a dvd menu you select something like chapter and because of the choice a sound happens for example a theme music starts or another sort of sound.

Non-interactive media is a sound or music is what you don't control for example the theme music on a dvd menu.

In Mrs paradise- in that lesson we went to 2/3 websites we could not go to one because of parental control that was very disappointed but we had to carry on with lesson. The websites we went had a lot of interactive sounds init and we had to see how it is affective. Without the interactive sounds the websites would have been very boring an dull.

The following types of media are interactive, websites, DVD interfaces, interactive presentations, computer games, mobile phone content. Websites are interactive because you control your experience and choose what todo. In a computer game interactive things are you could choose your player, choose what to play etc. Mobile phones are interactive because you could choose what to do for example going to the messages or the gallery etc.

Sound is used in interactive media for a number of things for example, carrying dialogue, enhancing mood or one, indicators showing danger or impending action, emotion, guiding users, alerts and entertainment e.g. streaming music etc.

What I did in the holiday?
